Pathology
Medicis’s pathology centre is open Monday to Friday from 7.30 am till 1 pm.
Warning : for the insulin tolerance test (duration 2 hours), please come at the lab before 09.00 am.
All samples (blood, urine, stools, pap smear etc.), are made without appointments at the above mentioned opening hours.
In Belgium, blood samples can only strictly be taken if the patient has obtained a doctor’s referral.
LBS pathology, is in charge of screening all samples taken at Medicis and will send the invoice directly to your healthcare fund. The non-refundable amount will be invoiced separately and forwarded to you few days after samples have been taken.
If your are affiliated to a Belgian health fund, don(t forget to bring along your healthcare sticker or SIS card when visiting the centre as no invoices will be organised on the day.
Particular tests (lactose tolerance test, O’Sullivan test etc) require patients to be present during most of morning ; please check the practical information for further details.
