Coaching

Coaching, which emerged more or less in the 60’s, consists of ” partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential  ” (as defined by the International Coaching Federation).
A coach is a guidance professional, rigorously trained and respecting a code of ethics linked to his/her professional federation. Clients should not hesitate to question coaches’ certifications in a context where the coaching profession is not yet regulated (please cf. ICF and EMCC, in particular).

When you start coaching, you enter into a relationship of parity where the coach becomes the “master” of the process (i.e. means and techniques used) and the client retains control of the content (objectives, subjects addressed, decisions made). It is therefore a form of partnership in which the relationship of trust will be fundamental to modify the relationship with oneself, with others and with the world but also to lead to concrete and measurable results, whether in a professional or personal context.

Coaching can be useful when you have a goal, a vision or a feeling and you don’t know how to achieve it, realise it or give it meaning, whether in the professional or personal sphere.
The coach will work with you to find new answers to your challenges, focusing on the “how” rather than the “why”.

At the Médicis Centre, we coach people who wish to do so in accordance with the ICF code of ethics. We also use systemic strategic analysis and can support our clients using the Process Communication Model®.
